What’s going on: Get along to the Immigration Museum for a summer celebration of international food and entertainment. Courtyard Cantina will be featuring pop up bars by Melbourne fave’s Shebeen and Sake Master and we will see street food selections from Señor BBQ, Bretzel Biz, La Torilleria, Boss Man Food, El Alamo, Koba and Trailor made food. Oh and to set the atmosphere, a range of PBS DJs will be spinning tunes while you chow down!

Pinchy’s Handmade Lobster Subs

What’s going on: Head over to Elwood Beach where the Pinchy’s boys are serving up maine style lobster subs with a side of old school Spider’s and ice cream sandwiches. Bring a towel, cricket bat, a ball and some stumps and make a day of it.

Tip: They sell out of their classic subs really fast, so make sure you get there early if you don’t want to miss out!

Friday Nights with Jean Paul Gaultier – Chicks on Speed

What’s going on: Rock up to the last Friday Night event for the Jean Paul Gaultier exhibition in style! Enter the fashion world of JPG, and be immersed in music, pop-up talks, bars and dining. The main act is Chicks on Speed who work across electronic pop music, performance, installation and new media art. They’ve been around for more than a decade, so they know a thing or two about delivering an entertaining set. Also playing on the night (5:30pm to 8:30pm to be exact), is Andee Frost a Melburnian DJ who apparently puts on a pretty sweet show. So to summarise should be a crazy cool night at the NGV.

Tip: Online tickets for this event are sold out, but there will be a limited number of tickets available on the door from 6pm.

What’s going on: Jean Paul Gaultier is up all night!!! On the last night of the JPG exhibition, NGV pledges to stay open until midnight for a late night viewing, as well as offering food, drinks and a DJ set from Chicks on Speeds’ Alex Murray-Leslie. Should be a pretty special, and dare I say, stylish night!

What’s going on: The Fashion World of Jean Paul Gaultier: From the Sidewalk to the Catwalk exhibition closes after today!! The travelling art show is jet-setting off to Paris next, so make sure you come down and say Bon Voyage to this amazing display of iconic fashion.

Tip: It is probably going to be busy, so make sure you arrive at lease 2 hours before closing time, to ensure you get a good look at the exhibit.

What’s going on: In its 35th year, St Kilda Festival is renowned for delivering an epic array of performers and activities and this year is no exception. The last day, Festival Sunday, is the biggie in terms of headline acts and attendance. Some highlights are performances by San Cisco, Japanese Wallpaper, The Basics, Remi, DMA’s, Hayden James and The Church. People flock from all sides of the river for this event because it is super fun, it’s free and it basically has the vibe of a massive street party…but on the foreshore! So cool!!
