What’s going on: The Swan Street Chamber of Commerce is just about the coolest new kid on the block! It’s a collective of some fantastic, unique businesses, brought together under one grand roof. What better afternoon to visit, than when the in-house cinema is showing the brilliant film, Boyhood. A truly beautiful film about a boy’s coming of age which was actually filmed over 12 years..amazing!

 

Greek Fiesta

What’s going on: Greek it up at the Prahran market’s cultural festival. After a spot of market perusing, get into the Greek street food, cooking demos, traditional dancing and music and special promos. Keep your peepers out for the roving Ancient Greek Hoplites and Evzon Honour Guards – maybe even grab them for a selfie!

 

Run for the Kids

What’s going on: The Herald Sun’s Run for the Kids is a really special charity fun run. A huge chunk of the entry fees goes towards the Good Friday Appeal at the Royal Childrens Hospital. Awesome cause with an equally awesome event – there’s no other time you can walk / run over the magnificent Bolte Bridge and through the Domain Tunnel (which is meant to be a really surreal experience).

 

Twins Plus Festival

What’s going on: Twins unite at this quirky festival dedicated to all-things-twins. Everybody is welcome at this event, and you will definitely be seeing double with the amount of fun they are packing into a single day. Pets in the Park

What’s going on: BYO pets to this fun, friendly, furry, feathered family event! Hosted by Channel 10’s weatherman, Mike Larkan, this event will offer live music, pet parades, competitions, info on pet health and ownership and the latest pet products.

Tip: Don’t be afraid to parade that pooch – there will be prizes for “Best Dressed” and “Best Trick”.
