The newest installment celebrates the 65 years of mountain culture and adventure filmmaking that has led Warren Miller to every end of the winter world. What’s going on: Dreamgirls is the award-winning musical production from the US. It was inspired by Diana Ross and the Supremes, so needless to say, it will have some fantastic tunes for you to bop along to. Dreamgirls premiered on Broadway in 1981. Through several revivals and an award-winning film, it has remained a favorite for more over three decades.

 

Whitelion Bail Out

What’s going on: The Bail Out is Whitelion’s national fundraising and awareness campaign. It provides a unique opportunity to step into the shoes of a young person that has been disconnected from our community due to abuse and neglect, drug addiction and poverty. The Bail Out event exposes ‘inmates’ to life on the inside by simulating prison life – being stripped of possessions, fingerprinted, photographed and simulated court appearancebefore a Magistrate and being sentenced to some cell time. The idea is to round up donations and raise your own bail out funds.

Guinness Oyster Festival

What’s going on: Old mates Oysters and Guinness get their time in the spotlight today. Sample a variety of Australian oysters, whilst enjoying Celtic folk/rock fusion tunes. In addition to the traditional Irish oysters and Guinness, the 2015 festival will feature an oyster shooter bar, serving oyster and liquor based concoctions from the classic Bloody Mary to some customised Irish blends.
