What’s going on: As the name suggests, this event consists of good food and good wine (plus other good beverages) all under the one roof! Hop from stall to stall at “Jeff’s Shed”, sampling choice cheeses, wonderful wines, boutique beers, succulent sweets and perfect produce! There’s also demos, celebrity chef appearances and product promos to look out for!
Tip: We recommend taking public transport if you can, because you will end up sampling A LOT of awesome wine and liquor. Enjoy!

What’s going on: Winter is here, but 2015 is the International Year of Light, so it’s not so bad! The Light in Winter celebrates the newest and oldest sources of light through free talks and seminars, installations and screenings. Check out Chris Levine’s world premier installation, Molecule of Light, which uses lasers – the most intense, concentrated form of light. You can experience this in Fed Square from 5:30pm each night.

What’s going on: The Astor had us very worried there for a while. Earlier this year, the business had no choice but to cease operating. Thankfully, Palace Cinemas came to the rescue, taking ownership of the historic venue. So the Astor lives on, providing film buffs with the same array of cult classics on that beautiful big single-screen. Get along to their first day back – with some old fave’s in store, it’s business as usual!!
