Gertrude Street Projection Festival

What’s going on: Get lost in light exploring the length of Gertrude Street during this amazing festival. Over 35 different sites, buildings, laneways, footpaths and even tree trunks are illuminated with site-specific, curated projections. It is here you are able to see familiar spaces in new and truly reimagined ways!

What’s going on: Inspired by Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, West Side Story is set on New York’s Upper West Side in the mid-1950s where racial and social tensions run high. A poignant, provocative and emotionally powerful piece of theatre, it is often said it was the greatest musical ever written, although we’ll let you be the judge of that! Regardless, you can be guaranteed a high quality production and an entertaining night out.
